Boil water advisory in South Beach

South Beach residents who have been boiling their water all weekend are allowed to go back to normal and stop after the advisory was lifted Sunday afternoon, the city of Miami Beach announced. The advisory affected much of Miami Beach, except for the Venetian Islands area, south of 23rd Street, that is, Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, Collins and Washington avenues, and the Sunset Harbor neighborhood.

After workers from a private contracting company ruptured a 20-inch main near Alton Road and 6th Street last Thursday, the drop in water pressure led to the advisory. After two consecutive days of satisfactory drinking water testing, the measure was lifted
